Overview
Lakeside College follows the Australian Curriculum (Years Prep to 10) and the Victorian Certificate of Education (Years 11 and 12). While the curriculum covers all elements required by government regulations, learning is based on the idea that God is the centre of everything in our lives. This is woven throughout each academic subject and all other areas of learning at the College.
Students also begin each day with a class devotion led by a teacher who has responsibility for their pastoral care. This structure encourages the development of relationships between students and teachers.
School staff in all areas of the College are committed to continually developing their practice to meet the individual and ever-changing needs of the learners in our community. The College also provides parent support programs which assist families to be heavily involved with their child’s education.
Our overarching aim is to ensure that our students grow into young women and young men of character, capability and commitment, through our three core values of learning, caring and achieving. We view students holistically and support them to develop academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Our focus is on every student being challenged to reach beyond their personal best.
